Be Still

“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Sometimes we underestimate HOW BIG God really is. We question his power. We grow weary in our faith and try to take matters into our own hands ending with little or no results.

Understand this one thing: God is good, willing and able.

He produces miraculous outcomes that even on our best day, would not be possible for us to even imagine.

Jesus proved to us just how big our God really is by all the wondrous miracles and signs he performed.

The “seven signs” are:

  1. Changing water into wine at Cana (John 2:1-11) “the first of the signs”
  2. Healing the royal official’s son in Capernaum (John 4:46-54)
  3. Healing the paralytic at Bethesda (John 5:1-15)
  4. Feeding the 5000 (John 6:5-14)
  5. Jesus walking on water (John 6:16-24)
  6. Healing the man blind from birth (John 9:1-7)
  7. The raising of Lazarus (John 11:1-45)

The resurrection of Jesus being the implied eighth sign.

All you have to do is ask and believe. Jesus tells us to ask anything in his name to our Father and it will be given. So that by this, God may receive the recognition he deserves.

Now, this doesn’t mean asking for a million dollars to please your own selfish desires. But rather, to ask with confidence that what you ask is entirely for the intention of good, bringing glory to God.

You certainly will not receive what is bound to hurt you. Why would God say YES to something that eventually will destroy you? He LOVES YOU far too much for that.

Afterall, He’s the one who sent his one and only son, Jesus, to save you and free you from sin. Not to send you in the direction of it.

We always receive an answer to our prayers. However, It might not be in the form you expect

When we feel as if God is silent, we need to not get frustrated with him, instead we must examine ourselves. Do we have any unconfessed sin flowing through our lives? Is there something we just are not seeing?

We need to practice being observative, silent and still before God. He works on his time, to fufill his purpose for our lives… not in accordance to our level of patience

He hears you and knows what it is you’re asking. He knows deep down to the core, all the way to the root of what it is you’re seeking.

We need to just trust in him and trust his timing. He might just be protecting us from potential dangers and guiding us right through them into the promise he has set before you.

Remember.. There has never been a moment God has not fulfilled his promise.

He knows exactly when you are ready for everything in your life. If something is handed to you in a far too delicate of a stage, it will only break. God values who you are, and handles your requests with the finest care.

Everything is already being worked out for you, wait on him.

Because YES God can and will. There is nothing too big for him to accomplish. Acknowledge and take hold of that concept and never let it go.

Put down your anxiety, fears, and tears..  dust your shoulders off, pick your faith back up..

And just know.. HE IS GOD.
